Hoverfly Scaeva pyrastri

Spotted this hoverfly,sitting on a miniature pine tree - took some shots and came to the conclusion it had probably recently emerged as it did not seem to want to fly off. Took advantage of this and offered a finger for it to walk onto.
These hovers have odd angled facets on their compound eyes instead of a single smooth domed surface.
