#81 - Do either of these work?

    #2 - very nice! The colored version looks like an old-time photo from the 50's.

    I really like the feel of #1. I would love to see a crop with ground the bottom 3.

    I also prefer #2 - love the clouds and the way "float" in the picture. In relation to the theme, will work as long as you get the right title.

    Thanks, Jeromy! Do you mean trying a version with the sky cropped so the foreground takes up more of the bottom 3rd of the shot?

    I am drawn to the shadows and textures that the B&W pulls out of the grasses, the color one is very nice too, and seems to be the preferred....either way it is beautiful!

    I just love the texture of the field in BW. Of course I seem to be in the minority :)

    They are both nice, Linda, but the #2 is more vibrant and attractive.

    I like this crop better. And something about the composition is more appealing to me in the first. Maybe it is the flow of the land. Or maybe the shadows in the foreground of the second.

    I'd like to see the new crop in color. Just to see.

    They are a little too far apart of each other to be able to see very well the details and differences, but as I can see makes me like more the first colored version - it has more depth. I also like the play with light and shadows and also I like to see a little more details.

    - I understand that you want to express the whole action and connectivity, but the more stylized version is loosing a little the interest, in my opinion.

    I could go with either, but I agree you need the sharp color version instead of the pixel bended one. And the B&W one has a dust spot on the middle cloud (at least that is what it looks like) that I would clone out.

    Thank you Greg and Tatiana. I'll let you two in on a secret -- this last one was Pixel-Bended too. :D But I agree, that a sharper, more natural version is preferable. Good call on the little spot, Greg. Thanks for the heads up on that.

    Once I set the B&W version back to color there was just something about it that "popped", especially after the crop and I really wound up liking the shot.
