My 8 year old grandson ( oops... he is only 7 ) was chasing birds in the yard the other day, so I gave him my camera and told him to take pictures instead. He got bored rather quickly and decided to focus on bugs so I put the Sigma 105mm on my D90 and let him go with virtually no instruction other that how close he should be. Here are some bees that he got.

I think the mind is the first thing to go.... He is only seven, I am not sure why I thought he was eight.

And another great photographer is born...groom him well, and then he can do what he loves (assuming he loves to take pics) for the rest of his life...it's a gift only few people get to receive :)

He did very well for being a 8yr old.
Now you have a perfectly good reason for getting yourself a new camera and lens. :D
