This was my first wedding. Small family and friends ceremony at the beach house they had rented. Looking for C&C.

Enjoy!

These little chairs were the cake topper. After cutting the cake I shot a few shots with the rings using the chairs.

Nice set...good images. Really like the video...not to complex...liked the lead in.

not bad for teh 1st time..nothing floors me but I am not turned off by any either. My only general comment is that you went overboard on the vignetting (and I am big fan of vignetting) on many shots especially #6. The vignette should just lead the eyes imo..if it is easily noticeable then the eyes tend to slip from the subject

These aren't bad. They are very good for a first-timer. However, make sure to capture more intimate moments, such as someone crying, the kids running around, etc. Your photos seem very straightforward (not a bad thing), but I find it more fulfilling for the clients when they say, "Wow...we didn't even know that happened!"

    Cool job though!

The posing in #3 & #5 seems a little stiff to me, i.e. the people don't look particularly comfortable.

This is an area I'm always trying to improve :D. There are lots of books as well as materials online specific to posing any size group that can give you lots of ideas.

But not bad for a first go!

    Regards,

Yep, that is what I noticed as well. Those "stiff" shots are good and safe for satisfying the requirements of your obligation, but really it's only grandma who is going to want to put it on her fridge. If you want to really create an impressive style, the next few photos after that formal one would involve them laughing, goofing off, and just generally looking more relaxed. I would also zoom in and shoot horizontally, as kind of a close-up shot.

Here's a few recent blog posts with images that describe what I'm talking about:

    Good luck!

Thanks for the replies. The wedding was at 2:00 in the afternoon and it was 95 degrees that day. The groom was very stiff, he is a cop and has bad teeth and is very self conscious of it. The wedding party had all been staying in the same house all week together and were wearing on each others nerves.

I had a few of some of the things that have been mentioned of the not so formal, people goofing off etc. Here is a few.

    Again, thanks for the input.
