Michael, Don, thanks. The first time I photographed this ruin, I had the wrong light and composition. I had to go back to get them the way I wanted them.
Nicely done. Because Southwestern ruins like these are always build from native rock, I have often found it hard to separate them from the background. This is very nice, the building is well defined yet part of the landscape.

I know exactly what you mean, Werner. And with some ruins, such as Wupatki and this one, the orange of the ruin can be overwhelming in some lighting conditions. That's part of why I shot this before sunrise, and even so I had to desaturate the oranges slightly.
I like the composition, and i don't know if changing the perspective, maybe going down a little bit would add more intensity to the scene but this is still wonderful capture .
