These were from a thunderstorm tonight that had an awesome light show. C&C is always welcome and appreciated.

All these were taken tripod mounted with a remote trigger at ISO200. The first one was at 20 sec., f6.3; the second was at 10 sec., f20 (taken earlier in the storm); and the third was 20 sec., f6.

Did you use a lightning trigger, or just try to time it right? I've been considering on buying a lightning trigger.

No lightning trigger. I wind up taking several test shots at various f stops and shutter speeds until I find an exposure I like. Last night was tricky because the storm came in at dusk so I had to adjust to changing light conditions. Sometimes on really dark nights I set the shutter to 'bulb' and open it up and just wait until I think I have something. It also lets you get some really cool shots because you'll get multiple lightning strikes in a single exposure that look really dramatic.
