Yes I am a poor working student, and I've been using cheap chinese made radios and receivers for my Alien Bee 800 strobes. They have been working with out issue for over a year. Used them perfectly 2 months ago. Well I have two big shoots coming up and well the strobes wont trigger when I snap a pic, but will trigger if I hit the test button. Any ideas? I'm thinking of just buy new ones since they are cheap and there is a ebay seller 5 min from me.

    Backup trigger/slaves are important. thumb.gif

    Try another camera.

Try setting your camera temporarily on "Auto" and "P" modes to see if a camera setting is interfering with the flash.

If you are using and cords/cables in the mix, test those with a VO meter or resistance tester.

    Justin,

How much did you pay for each trigger? I think it might be worth spending a wee bit more and getting the Alienbees Cybersync CST and CSRB. They are around $60 and built like a tank. Just forgo a coffees or eating out for a few weeks and these would have paid themselves off. Just a thought!

    Cheers,
