I had a chance to visit Cappadocia, Turkey. This place is magical. It looks , at times, like something out of Lord of the Rings.

We arrived at our "cave" hotel. This was a very interesting place with some cool views.

The restaurant

We then went to a look out to watch the sun set.

There was a near by open air archeological museum. The history of these villages built into the rock formations is fascinating.

The inside of this church was astounding. Pardon the WB, I had to shoot with out a flash under very dim light.

We then went to one of the underground cities. They were an amazing architectural feat. This one went down 7 stories.

The entrance.

Great work on Cappadocia. BTW, how did you get the shots of the cave churches (those are in Goreme, right?) When I was there they were constantly guarded.
