    Yes, it looks like a pretty "bulbous" front element and I believe that the lens requires an adapter to use filters, which will probably vignette at the widest settings using any filter.

    This is an extremely wide-angle rectilinear zoom lens and I believe it's the widest view of any FF/FX zoom lens (122 degrees) except for fisheye lenses.
