The old saying or cliche comes to mind "so close and yet so far".
    They are practically touching yet....

A disconnect, or simply an artifact of freezing the moment of two people in motion? Hard to tell for sure, though I would bet on disconnect. I like the light in this one. I don't like the arm growing out of the guy's neck. mwink.gif

The arm is a bit of a problem, but shooting this without breaking the disconnect that was occurring was difficult enough without maneuvering around.

They weren't ships in the night, but rather seemed very much to be together. It was just one of those instants where they each appeared to zone out.

As to light and exposure. I shudder to admit this, but I was playing with the program mode and shooting color jpgs with on the Fuji X100, so I had the camera set on program, auto iso, and a dynamic range of 200%. I did some dodging and burning after converting to black and white, but everything I needed was there.
