On my look out for anything small, I realised that in the grasses and weeds by the house were some flies just sat there, presumably settling down for the night.

First one is sat on a dandelion flower - I like how the colours contrast so much with this one:
The second on is sat atop a little plant (might be a Cranesbill (Geranium spp) but not too sure. That's by the by mind you - what is most important here is of course the fly itself.

Excellent images. I still struggle to get mine as sharp and clear...
