Redwood photo contest

The Save the Redwood League holds a photo contest each year. I managed to win last year (theme: Walk Among Giants) with this photo:

(yeah, I know, I got lucky and happened to have a photo that matched the theme really well)

This year, the theme is Know Wonder, and I've made the finals again (vote here) with this photo:

Those are my daughters in each of the photos.

The top one is from a DSLR (Pentax K100D) and the bottom is with a Fuji superzoom (FinePix S6000fd) - my wife had the Pentax to snap elk photos in a nearby meadow.

    I really like the first image. The way the path leads into the image, the diffused quality of light and the sense of mystery created by the fog combine to make this a wonderful image.
