My main reservation has nothing to do with it being an HDR. It's a pretty scene but the composition doesn't offer much interest except for the nice colors. You might see if you could find a more interesting one.

Thank you all, I know not great composition, I was concentrated on clouds I used photomatrixpro 3 and after a bit PS
The later photo with the dead trunk makes it look artificial. Not sure what it is that takes away the real dead-wood look.
The form of those trees is very much how the Oregon oaks look in some open farm or country land in this state.
