I used 20 Raw (1/8000s to 1/2s) to realize this HDR with Photomatix 4.

I don't understand not being a fan of HDR.
HDR is only a tool and not a matter of faith.

I think you could have gotten the same shot with much fewer exposures (2-5), but I could be wrong. In any event, this is very sweet.:D

I agree. 20 is way overkill.

Pretty scene though.

Beautiful image. Why 20 exposures? Did it really make that big a difference with 12 stops? Really curious as I usually have about a 2 stop range.

20 exposures it's an experimentation (and certainly an exaggerated experimentation), but as long as the result is good... where is the problem? :-)

Nope, no problem. I'll have to try it myself considering the beautiful result.

Hello John :-) No, I set my camera in manual mode at F/3,5 and shot from 1/8000s to 1/2s as quickly as possible (with a tripod).

Very nice! Glad to see an HDR that's not 'overly obvious'! Interesting how the leading lines of the field and the sun are opposite of each other. Alot to view, but well captured.

Thank you jpc :-) No in the majority of the cases i use only 3 expositions (-2;0;+2).
