Hi,

I went down to The hawk Conservancy in Andover today for my prize in a photography competition. I managed to meet up with some folks from some other forums while I was there. I had a lovely day. here's a couple of snaps - first ones off the camera...

A cross between a Gyr Falcon and a Pergrine Falcon:

You made the most out of your opportunity.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    Three great shots!
I've never seen a Secretary Bird before. You've really captured its power in that picture, I think. If it came to a contest, I wouldn't be betting on the snake.
The owl, however.... WOW. That is just about perfect.

I have another shot of the secretary bird...if the snake rears up, the bird jumps and "karate kicks" the snake's head! Amazing action (not such a good shot, however).

The owl is my favourite photo (other than nice ones of my kids) of all time. I am very proud of it. :)

    Not comical if you're a snake! :)
