IMPORT photos with photo captions

Hello,

Can anyone please tell me if there is a way to import 1000+ images in .jpg format, with a .csv or .xml file which contains photo captions.

I realize I may need a separate program before uploading everything to SM, but maybe someone 'out there' has ideas?

Any help appreciated.

My idea is to upload all my .jpg images + photo captions all at once either into SM directly / or via a program, then into SM - and not use "cut & paste" individually for photo captions. Doing it all at once - would be a lot easier.

Any ideas?

We import captions from the IPTC description field. Just add your captions with any photo software that allows for bulk metadata editing. Keywords are supported via the IPTC keyword field.
If you can't use IPTC for some reason, you can check the "metadata updates" section here for what other metadata we import:

Hello, Thank you for the reply.

Yes, I know about IPTC desciption fields - where I can put my photo caption. But I was really hoping there was a way to import a .csv or .xml file of ALL captions reflected to each photo that gets uploaded, so I don't have to type in 1000+ captions again.

Maybe I need to find / research another program before images get uploaded to SM?

I am using Photoshop Elements 8. But the captions were originally in a Wordpress "NextGen Gallery".

Any ideas on how to import ALL captions at once?
