Foggy Catskills (1 Large, 4 Med pics)

Went hiking in the Catskill Mountains (NY) this weekend. We were up 3500+ feet and basically in the clouds.

Here are some shots I took in the fog. They were taken with my Olympus Stylus. I was too chicken to take the D50 out in the rain.

The colors were really muted, and the trees were still mostly green. I guess we were al little early for the peak foliage season.

All are straight from the camera, no post processing.

There is something about FOG Pictures that just appeal to me, I don't know if it's that dreamy look, or the feel of mystery, that inviting feel to see what's beyond the mist......I don't know what it is.

I really like the first two shots Kevin...thanks for sharing...Skippy (Australia)

That's beautiful Galla, I'd give anything to see that place during fog. We don't get much fog in Nevada, especially during fall. (We did last winter for some reason, we had a fog storm I guess, lasted for over two weeks). Any chance I might be able to get a large version for a wallpaper? :)

Fog is really nice to look at, but let me tell you, being in the clouds made everything really wet on our hike.

However, with 5 eagle scouts in attendance, we were still able to get a camp fire going!

Tyler- I'm flattered... Let me know which one and what size desktop and i'll shoot it over to you.
