I'm not sure what the OP was trying to convey.
Addendum:
I've been thinking about your comment, and the more I thought about it the more I felt I should add the following:
As I shot it, and as I see it, the 'runny nose' image captures and conveys isolation in what should be a social setting. The woman in the back is in her own world, disconnected from the other woman and baby. I could also start to blather about compositional elements, but...
As to the second image, if you can't see any number of story possibilities there, well...:-)

Welcome back! As to no replies - well, two now, both focused on runny noses.

Amidst the Humor, let me also offer my condolences for your friends recent passing.
Having endured several myself of late, I truly know the feelings.
It of course becomes the burden of our age to be at peace with such events.

I assume this is a continuation of the postings related to this...
As such I like the second shot with the capture of mood/emotion. First one is complementary to the series with the three different attention directions.
Thanks, Ben - Though this image is utterly unrelated to that.
But...Having recently started a Tumbler photo posting - I posted a tale some of a certain age may find entertaining, or what ever

This photo isn't related to that, Rainbow - but these are.

Oh well, I needed practicing in BSing like many art experts.... (I am totally amused when I read about debates on whether a cherished museum piece is a masterpiece or a clever forgery...)
Added edit: Checked your link. Quite a Potter story to go with the photos.
Hmmm sorry if my thoughts/words confused anybody but then that's my MO.
Enjoyed the story, remember the times and the poster.

That's my take on what I see.

Good take, Lauren. I think they both serve as ambiguous sheets of paper that allow us to go off in all sorts of different directions .
