Possible to do & if so, how?

Is it possible to set up my galleries so they are public, but people with a password can download? I don't want my galleries to be private, but there's a certain limited group of people I would like to give the right to download.

Not customizing, so I moved it to SmugMug Support. Sure, leave them public but then add a password. You do this in gallery settings.

SM's help info says that if you require a password only people who have the password can see the photos. I want to do something else. I want anyone & everyone to be able see all our photos, but I want to give only a few the right to download and/or print.

The galleries themselves should be totally visible to everyone incl. search engines. If I put a password requirement how to limit to printing/downloading capabilities only?
