This was from my second maternity shoot just a couple weeks ago. They wanted a more conservative outdoor background. I'm still pretty new to this, so I welcome all comments.

I am still learning my self, but I'll share my 2 cents anyway. When I do a maternity shoot, I want to see belly! I feel as if its lost here. And while the hands are on her belly, it is hard to tell that she has one. Maybe a side angle would emphasize it better? Or maybe her top was difficult to work with?

I agree about the belly. We did do several other shots emphasizing her belly, but she was very conservative in what she wanted to do as far as poses. She wanted absolutley no exposed belly shots, which I had come prepared to do (ribbon around the belly, etc.). I was a little disappointed.

I would suggest a shallow DOF.

I like this one much better. It is difficult when a client is very specific and limits our creativity!
