the little fox, revisited
in answer to some who've asked to see more...
took my daughter up to Mt. Rainier last Sunday so she could see the fox kits in person. only one was out, and he seemed a bit at loose ends. mom had just left (we saw her trotting up the road as we were driving toward the den), and his den-mate was not in evidence. it was cloudy and much cooler, so we didn't stay all that long, but this time i had the 100-400 with me and got some nice close-up, full-frame shots...

Don, you're right... my daughter was just tickled to see a fox in the wild. she loves animals anyway, and the chance to get that close to a wild fox was a real thrill for her.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
