Picked up an Argus C-four at an antique sale. To my great surprise, it works great, although the lack of a meter meant Sunny-16ing my test shots.

One thing I noticed is that it has some tarnish on some of the metal (body and lens). What's the best way to clean this? I was thinking silver polish or something similar, but don't want to accidently ruin a camera with such a distinctive look ...

Congratulations on the new (old) film camera. clap.gif

I am most familiar with the Argus C3 and it would actually corrode in high humidity. If that's what happened to the C-Four body and lens barrel then it would need special attention indeed and I'm not sure if a normal polish will remove it.

Don't think it's corrosion. But I found this link and it has me worried about the "right way" to clean this classy lookin' camera: http://photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?topic_id=23&msg_id=0012P1
