Polaroid question

I have a Polaroid 104 land camera that belonged to my grandfather. I have the camera which is in good shape as well as a flash, bulbs, manuals, other assorted paperwork, and a case. All in great shape. How can I find what it's worth?

Well, looking at the eBay listing that have sold (not many) have not gone for much. Check these:

Granted, most of these are just camera only... but it's more of a collectors cam since I'm not sure film is still available.

I have looked into these as well as some websites on Polaroid and found the same result. One website said they are so common that there were many of them around still. Collectors call them boat anchors, so I guess I'm not going to get more than about $10.00 if I sold it.

Regretfully I'm afraid this is true. My suggestion... put it in a sturdy box that is just big enough (double box is even better), seal it up and find a good (sorta hidden) spot in the attic to put it. Someone will find it in 30-40+ years and maybe it will have some value then.

Second that! I know it may be of little consequence, but I made a fat little Check two years ago for a Chamber welcoming a new Biz to town. Part of the gig was for me to be dressed as an old-time photog, and take 'polaroids' when the guests arrived via a Red-Carpet. I bought one for $10, some film over at CVS and Voila...so ya never know Fred!

I was watching Storage Wars last week and one of them found some old cameras. The best one they had was an old press camera. That was worth about 45.00. Guess old cameras just don't hold their value anymore.
