Keeping with the MJ threads, I shot this last night at the "Cow Parade" in Austin. The new owner of this original jacket (1 of 2 worn in the video) paid a cool $1.8 million for it at auction in June 2011.

Am I alone in thinking that this is just a tad creepy? :-)

Just a tad. It might have been cooler if there were a real person in the frame.

    Thanks guys....

Yes, now that you mention it, a bit 'creepy'. Nothing like a dead-guys jacket on display and we all flock to it like dogs to a tree to shoot it. The problem I ran in to was sooooo many people around the display so I felt fortunate to be able to get this without any of them.

What I had wanted to do was get down lower and have his head/neck in the right place as if the poster in the background was wearing the jacket. But that never materialized.

I liked his music from the start and what a shame he did not have the strength to live out his life.

Ah, but I think he did live out his life. Just not the way the rest of the world probably would have.
