The 50mm 1.8 is one of my favs and these pics show why.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

    Hawk Food
Squirrel pix always seem too easy, but this one looks particularly nice.

I shot a couple of squirrels this morning, hoping the broad-winged hawk I was watcing might try to make a meal of them (nothing against the squirrels, just looking for a great shot) but he didn't oblige.

    Nice shot. A real keeper.

    Regards,

    Patrick

Gee, blush, thanks folks! 100+ shots and a couple keepers of 'this type',your very nice comments= great encouragement. You are helping me develop an eye for composition, something I'm sadly lacking, among other things.

On a very high note about the 50 f/1.8, ohoo I like that lens. Anyway I'm using it to take 'teaching pictures' for a class I'm giving on Sat in NY. (has nothing to do with photography, obviously). Most have to be taken inside and man is that lens slick. The other is records of Don's conifer collection, boring shots but tack sharp. Using your feet for focal length is a great lesson:D
