I've been trying to figure out how to get good rays like that.. any tips?
I've noticed that when I under expose, the rays jump out quite a bit more. I guess it would be similar to adding a lot of contrast in post process, but by under exposing from the start you don't have to worry about blowing out the rays. Oddly enough when I lived in the east I rarely ever saw the types of rays that I get here in the west. The higher altitude and lack of humidity/haze in the air here may be a factor. I'm a bit of a noob so my exlpanations my be a bit trivial. Hope that helps.
