Digital Download Preview?

It would be nice if there was a way for the customer to click on preview or compare and get a comparison of the different resolutions so they can choose the size that best suits their needs and budget. Maybe there is a way to do this and I just haven’t seen it yet. With digital downloads ranging in size from Web size 640 x 480, to 1M, 4M and Original it leaves many uncertain as to which resolution they really need. If they are just printing a 4 x 6 sure a 1M file is probably fine if they are printing 8 x 10s they may want the 4M, for poster sizes they may want the Original.
I would also like to be able to offer the digital downloads as is (download now) or enhanced for an additional charge (with a delay time set by the photographer for processing the image).

If you previewed the actual digital download image, then they could just take it right from the browser without buying. That might be OK for 640x480 since that size is probably already being displayed in galleries, but wouldn't make good business sense for the high resolutions.

Besides, the higher resolution images are not for screen viewing, but for making larger prints. The additional resolution allows you to print larger while still having good detail. That is not something that can be seen or appreciated on screen very easily - particularly by someone who isn't a professional.

P.S. Somehow you ended up with black text in your post which is completely unreadable for those of us who use dgrin with a dark background.
