Hi all,
I haven't posted anything for a very, very long time because of work and other commitments but am hoping to start posting a bit more regularly. A lot of these photos are from either my yard or from my local area just west of Edmonton, Alberta.

Very interesting set of images; most enjoyable to look at.

The Flicker is definitely my pick of the bunch. That's just a -great- capture.
I also like the image of the Grebe with the perch a lot. Thanks for sharing!

    Thanks all,
I've been blessed with four flickers (2 parents and 2 chicks) nesting somewhere close to my house. I see them almost everyday. They have given me some good photo ops.

I agree the Flicker is a great shot...but I envy you having hummingbirds to shoot..so they get my vote (if there was a contest :D )
