My first attempt in focus stacking. I combined 12 images using Photoshop CS5. Thank you very much for viewing.

Was just talking to a friend tonight about stacking photos. Something I've not done yet, but want to give a try.

Thanks for viewing, Mary, Just like you I haven't done focus stacking before so what better way to learn it than to simply try it, right? :D I had to add the paper towel since I can only go 1/16th power as the lowest setting on the Nikon SB-24 Flash. The paper towel allowed me to get the light intensity right without blowing the highlights. thumb.gif

Did you find a tutorial on how to do the stacking? If so .. could you share it with me :D

I don't have a flash, but I would think I could use a light. At least try it anyway.

Again .. turned out great thumb.gif

I tried stacking a few times. I struggled with any image that was more complex, or with poorer light. I think jiro has got it exactly right...simple subject, great light.
    Fun subject too.
    Nice one.

Love the simple set up. Really displays well how easy it can be and to just go give it a try sometime.
You got a nice return for your effort. I know I'd be happy with it.
