I just received my new macro lens in the mail! My first attempts look pretty soft to me...this the best of the bunch. What do you think about this for the challenge?

Nice... perfect title, hope you killed those Japanese Beetles after you got the shot... :D It doesn't look soft to me ne_nau.gif just a narrow depth of field... I think it works perfectly...

Great title - nice shot. I love macros myself. It's the narrow depth of field that makes it seem soft but I happen to like that look and your focus point looks well placed to me. Enjoy your new lens! GP

Nice irridescent colors - & great title. I think the only way to get more DOF would be to use the stacking technique (which I've never done, just read about it). I think the DOF is fine on this though - you can see the tiny hairiness of the critters.
