Would've been nice to have had a tripod with me

But it was more of a hike than a photo trip plus it was during the heart of daylight so I had to handhold this. I held as still as I could for 1/15 of a second.

Not a good photo day for me but a great time because we finally got up into the high country. Still some big cornices on the ridges and it's August. Strange, but wonderful. Here's a lake shot with approaching shower.

It's not really noticeable that it's handheld. I think I'd start carrying a shutter release cable with and see if I could find a rock to set the camera on if a tripod isn't available.

    Beanbags make great impromptu tripods.
