Featured Event - Featured Photo

I have talked to support a couple times (including at WPPI) and it doesn't seem to be fixed.

Is there a way to feature a photo for an event (not just a gallery) instead of having the "protected gallery" image featured?

Hi Josh,
You can do this by manually featuring a photo in the topmost gallery of the category or subcategory. Feature photos are taken from that gallery and used on the (sub)category. You can feature a photo in a gallery by going to it and using the Tools button > this photo > more > feature tool.

I have to explain this everytime ... I know how to feature a photo for a gallery. What I want is to feature a photo for an event. I set up an event for each of my couples to include their engagement and wedding photos. Go to www.joshsnyder.smugmug.com and you will see all of the events with the ugly "featured event" photo. I should be able to feature a photo just like you described how to feature a photo on a gallery.

I talked to one of the SmugMug heroes at WPPI and he was surprised I couldn't do this and that it should be an easy fix .... that was in February

I'm sorry for the confusion. At this point I don't think there's any way to feature a photo for an event. Sorry.
