Don't like dragonflies anymore :)

Was watching this darter dragonfly sitting on it's perch when it flew off but came back 5 seconds later having caught a largish flying bug. thought at first it has one of the queen flying ants that were around but it turned out it had caught one of my favourite little sweat bees.
They can open their mouths wide !

yeah, I hear you on this. Whenever I see, say a Cooper's hawk hunting songbirds I don't know which bird to root for. Spectacular work as usual. I had no idea they could open so wide either.
