How do I share a video (with thumbnail) on Google+

I'm trying to share a recent timelapse on Google+. Tried just about every option in the share pull down but am unable to embed the video there so it plays in place or, at least, shows a thumbnail that can be clicked on to send the user to my smugmug page. Appreciate any advice.

We had to work with FB to especially allow for embeds. May have to do the same with G+

I love the integration of video into my Wordpress blog. Guess that spoiled me and now I want the same in my G+ stream.
