The busker was marking out his territory. The little girl was just standing there, so he included her. I liked this shot because the girl was cute as a button, and he looked a bit like a tramp - a nice contrast, I thought.
Really like everything about this shot. You captured the "moment" with the expressions telling such a story. And the rope is noted secondarily and intriguing, creating good ambiguity.
I always feel self-conscious taking shots in the street. Well done.
Kathie, sometimes it's hard not to be self-conscious. Case-in-point: the guy I was photographing saw me, and decided to give me some fetching poses, so I played the game and got down on the ground and acted like a professional glamour photgrapher might. The result
lol, that's funny. I know when I was overseas I just took photos anyway and figured I wouldn't be back there again, and yes, people posed for me too. Perhaps I shouldn't be so self-conscious at home after all.
