Ok...so I have a session on Saturday, and the client only wants a disc of my edited photos.....No problem....but then she made a statement that she wants to edit them when she gets home....:scratch....I didn't know how to respond, I asked her what she meant by "edit them when she gets home", and she said she wanted to make some b&w, and some writing, etc. Has anyone else had someone do this? I feel like I should explain to her that she cant edit my photos..but I guess I need to know if I'm allowed to say that? Or what I should do.....
I swear....out of all my jobs, this has been the most difficult when it comes to dealing with people. Some people are so easy to deal with, and absolutely happy. But I seem to have found the people who want something for nothing. Normally I offer 30-50 shots per gallery, and I had one person get upset with me because she thought there was going to be more. Am I the only one who has to deal with difficult people? Ugh...makes me want to quit sometimes....

I would tell her to make sure that any photos she messes with to make sure your name is not associated with them in any way.
I have had some people do edits to my photos and then put them on Facebook, weird crops and effects....I have a little different opinion than most photographers in this area probably.
Yeah you can tell her she can't edit your photos....but good luck with that .

Best way is to give her a disc with your watermarks and without. Tell her if she uses a photo without editing to please used the watermarked one. If she makes edits to anything, tell her to use the unwatermarked one. It's a bit extra, but at least you control -- slightly -- the outcome of what the public sees. Of course, she could ignore you completely and use all your watermarked photos. It's a chance you have to take.
