Problems

I've encountered a few problems when I went into my site as a visitor that concern me:

#1 When I type in www.omnimagesonline.com, the Owner's view comes up, not the Visitor's view and someone can easily manipulate or even delete my images.

#2 When in a large gallery (ex. Landscapes), I can't move the images across the screen to select those further down the line.

#3 When "buying", I only see Merchandise and Prints listed...no Cards (see attachment).

#4 The prices only show gallery prices at cost and not the Portfolio prices which I set with my markup.

I need to get all these problems resolved before I begin any social networking.

Thank you, Hilma A.

No, they can't. Please fully log out or better yet, use a different browser :)

    Hi Hud -

#3 When "buying", I only see Merchandise and Prints listed...no Cards (see attachment).

In order for cards to appear as an option for purchase, there must be a card in the gallery > Use the CREATE A CARD function to add a card for purchase - more details - http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/84503-make-your-own-photo-cards

#4 The prices only show gallery prices at cost and not the Portfolio prices which I set with my markup.

Double check to a) be sure your portfolio pricing is in place > and b) that you have not set GALLERY level pricing at cost, superseding Portfolio - how to set your site pricing: http://www.smugmug.com/help/print-pricing

That said, if the above doesn't clear things up for you, by all means, shoot us an email on the help desk (help at smugmug.com) - we heroes are standing by !

Do I have to go to each and every gallery and subgallery and set prices in each one? I thought setting PORTFOLIO prices took care of everything. If it doesn't, is there a shortcut to simple pricing?

I don't understand this. I was making cards (for practice) on my husband's computer with no problems except that when "ringing up" I only got the AT Cost price.

    Frustrating
Helllllp! I'm pulling my hair out here! Still haven't got pricing right; still keep using my URL as a visitor and getting the Owner's view even having switched to Firefox, UGH! :confused

    Hi Hud,

I checked on your site and the issue you are having with Portfolio pricing is the fact that you have gallery pricing in place (in the gallery that I saw, at least). To fix this up, I see that you have a portfolio pricing structure in place, so you can just delete the pricing in all galleries if you would like to have the portfolio pricing come up for you.

The card, or something the size of a card, will need to be in the gallery in order for the cards pricing to show. Once you have "a card" in the gallery, the Cards Tab will show in your Buy menu. So, this is a gallery-by-gallery basis.

Give this a look and let us know what you think. thumb.gif

Which gallery do I put the card in?

Are you saying that because I have a portfolio pricing structure, I should go back to each gallery and delete that pricing. Then the Portfolio pricing will show up intead of the At Cost price?

    Hi Hud,

No, what you have in place right now is gallery pricing which is blocking your portfolio pricing. But, yes, once the gallery pricing is removed, your portfolio pricing will show.

To see this in the most effective way, log completely out of your site and take a look at your buy menu. What you see in there is exactly what your customers will see.

I see the shipping charge is marked $4.95 for 3-5 BDs. I thought it was only $2.95 for 6-10 BDs if the order is only up to 50 prints and up to 5x7 in size. I've ordered 10 5x7 folded cards. Has something changed?

Our photo cards should come in a box (unless you order individual 5x7 folded cards) which probably makes them unsuited for the 6-10 bd shipping option.
