My wife and I recently escaped to Northern Wisconsin for a few days. Weather mostly cooperated. We had some overcast skies for photo walks. We had some sun for..well...didn't let that stop me from taking shots. Some rain and storms appeared, too...unfortunately those forced my camera to stay inside. Usually I stayed with it during those times. Without further ado...
1. There were some very scenic paths to walk down. If you look to the left, you can see a tree bent over; the result of a powerful storm that recently went through the area.
2. There were many trees down all over the place.
3. It wasn't all forest. There were a couple fields. This one well groomed...
4. But this one was allowed to grow wild.
5. There was a small, peaceful lake on the property.
6. In the morning, the geese liked to take over the dock near the swimming area.
7. They also took over the beach.
8. Sometimes people forgot to take the Kayak in before they were done for the day.
9. There were surprisingly few critters out and about. But now and again, we struck gold. Like this pair of loons.
10. Or this Dragonfly.
11. This little guy wasn't too shy, either.
12. Yes, weed's a plenty...
13. At the end of the day, we enjoyed watching a sunset.
14. But there is nothing that says you have to stop enjoying the outdoors when the sun goes down.
Thank you for sharing in my little escape. C&C welcome!
