How to pose tall, lanky senior boys?

My own 17 year old is built that way and while I haven't done his senior photo yet, I did one of his friends that has the same 6'4" body type and arms/legs everywhere. Any good poses that won't focus on that? I will need visuals.

First off I would ask them to wear a few long sleeve shirts as well as a few T's. That helps with the long arms. Otherwise remember that guys like to lean. Watch some of your friends or hit the mall and just observe. They lean on their knees, railings, walls, cars, bikes etc. You get the idea. Use props, bats, gloves, items from his hobbies. Ninja stars, rifle, bike etc. It helps for them to hold something.

Go to several photographers websites and browse. Good luck.

Posing guys is always less is more. Here is a gallery of a guy. There is another gallery of a different guy at my site under Senior Pictures if you want to see more. If you can make if fun for him that is half the battle.
Having a guys girlfriend there always helps...whereas when shooting senior girls having their boyfriend there usually is not a good idea. With guys it makes them animated and want to show off, with girls it makes them nervous and self concious.
