Green bell pepper.

I took a shot of this green pepper before I mix it to the beef stew that I am cooking for lunch today. This was shot with my 12-inch softbox positioned 6 inches away from the center of the bell pepper with a white reflector at the opposite end 5 inches away. Thank you very much for viewing.

Sitting quietly, doing nothing. Spring comes and the grass grows by itself.

Thanks a lot for viewing, Lauren. I cropped it tight since the reflector and the side of the softbox are getting in the shot. I'm trying to learn how to control exposure using the camera's screen as my feedback control system since I don't have a flash meter. These test shots really does help me learn a lot.

i love lighting on green pepper!
how did u get the background crisp black?
Thanks for viewing, wave5. I used a black velvet fabric as my backdrop. Since I placed my softbox really close to the subject the light fall-off is very abrupt making the black fabric much darker. On the post-processing, I added a copied layer and then change the mode to multiply and then add a layer mask to affect only the black areas. Hope this helps.
