New member says Hi! (and some pics. :) )
Hi!
I just registered here, looks like a cool place to be! :
My name is Andreas, I'm from Vienna, Austria, and I like to get more into photography.
I bought a 350D a few weeks ago and have great fun learning it.
Here a couple of pics of Katharina, my wife. They were still with the Panasonic FZ20 witch I had for a year before I went DSLR.
Comments appreciated!
Regards,
Andreas

Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life...Picasso
Yes, I know I'm lucky that she poses for me, and she enjoys it very much, always comes up with creative ideas.
I guess my new interesst and passion for photography comes to a good part from her. I tried to get into nature photography with the FZ20 last year, but never got far. Birds and other animals, as pretty as they are, are exremly uncooperative. They sense a camera from miles away, it was pretty frustrating for me.
Katharina on the other hand loves to be photographed by me, and even thinks I'm cool in doing so! So, my focus shifted quickly. Screw birds!
For over 10 years I thought my creative expression to be music. I played guitar in various unknown metal bands, but never got to the level I wanted.
Some day I just had to realise it was not the right thing for me. It never gave me what photography already gives me now, still beeing a newbie.
That feeling, yes, this is the right thing for me, this is where I belong, I finally found my creative 'language'.
Feels good! :
@Awais Yaqub: I wish you all the best for your people and your country in these hard times!!!
@Yuri Pautov: Priviet! I want to visit Russia soon, hopefully next year.

Andreas

I just joined too. Looking forward to seeing more of your photos.
I really like all three that you posted here. The candlelight-looking warmth of the first one is lovely, and that red fabric is a great choice--a nice color with Katharina's coloring, and just enough texture.
I agree with the others, your wife is indeed gorgeous!
