Do you think combining these two looks in the same photograph works or is it too busy? Just trying a few things to increase sales and I would value your opinion.

Thanks much as always.

    I actually like that a lot thumb.gif
I personally do not think it is to busy my eyes are first draw to the larger shot then the move towards the other one.

I like it. I would like to see a little more space between the two (big head and hat on small head) and would let his right shoulder come on down some on the front larger image (it looks a little cut off right now). I think it is very neat but am curious if it really helps sales or not. I know posters in sports are poplular but not sure about more traditional portriats. Let us know how it turns out with mom and dad and the grandparents.

I would do away with the right side of the image, behing the big head. It's a dead space but it pulls me away from the main focal points. You could crop in front of the ear...

I like the idea, though. Sort of thing you could offer for other things, not just prints. Parents may want things like mugs, or mouse mats. ;)

Good ideas. I will give it a try and post the results and let you know the clients opinion and what if any sales dollar difference it might have made.

The concept works. Background needs to be even throughout. The head is too big, in relative size should be about a 2 to 1 ratio....play with the relative sizes.

I think you did a great job as it is. It's very clean and I would love to have one of my children done. Congrats.

I think I understand the size ratio thing, I can see it in the reworked image. Taking a few prior suggestions, this is the image re worked and I do believe I like it better. Thank you Zoomster!

Excellent concept. Theme and composition work really well. Only thing that sticks out to me (and only because I've spent a lot of time trying to find a way to make it perfect myself and haven't succeeded) is the edging of the larger image of the boy blending in with the rest of the image. I can see a separation that layers could take care of. :B

agree with aspecto5. i think the edge of the face where it meets with the other picture needs to be faded a little more. it's such a blunt line. have it fade into the other picture, if that makes sense. also i *think*, at least in the first version, that the full body one of the boy is a touch oversharpened.

man, love each of the shots individually though. especially the headshot. beautiful eyes on that boy!

That was my thought as well. I also find my eyes going back and forth, side to side.....so I guess that would mean it's a bit busy for me.
