Mac questions

Just purchased a new iMac last week. I have some questions, I can't figure out how to do some things. Feel free to answer any of these questions.
How do I rename folders in finder?
Is there a way to click through photos in a folder with out opening each one? In windows, I would just open the first photo then i was able to use the arrow keys to go on to next photo and view all in the folder.
Is there a way to set a default zoom size in safari? When ever I open a window everything is always so small, I have to zoom in one click for it to be a nice size for me to see.
In safari when I create bookmark folders, is there a way to have subfolders? In windows I would have a bookmark for say photograph, then inside that I would have sub folders for like forums, tutorial, smugmug sites, etc. I don't see a way to add a subfolder.
Just curious, where are the book marks stored in finder, what folder are they in? I like to back them up sometimes just incase.
It seems like the machine is slow to wake up after I come back to it when it goes int sleep mode. I really have move fingers on the track pad quite a bit before it wakes up. Is that normal?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

renaming: two ways. 1) click and hold for a second on the folder and you will see the name become editable. 2) right click, then choose "Get Info" the name will be editable there

waking: I click the trackpad, it seems to respond to a button press on the keyboard or a click of the trackpad faster than just touching the trackpad

viewing photos in finder: try switching the view to either Columns or Cover flow. I use lightroom as my basic viewer/importer. Picasa and iPhoto are good viewer choices as well.
