stacking photos software

This is probably not the right forum -but I had a free very good program on my old computer "crashed" used to stack many photos of the stars and now I can't believe I can't remember the name anyone know how to help me? I've goggled up but not the right one.
This was relatively easy to use and accurate.

Hi Randall, sorry to hear about the crash! I have no idea what program that might have been since I have only ever used PS to stack frames, but I'll move this to Technique for you.

StarTrails is a freeware to stack multiple images for creating star trails.

For stacking tracked images, either the the CombineZP that "basflt" mentioned should work, or try DeepSkyStacker:

I think all of this software is Windows compatible. Not sure about Mac software.
