I'd combine the two, using the unprocessed version for the pier and especially the blue trash cans--which are way too strong for my taste in the first one--and the processed version for the kid and surrounding sand and wall.

Yep I like this one better. You could tone down the blue cans easy enough, but the real/natural light here shimmering off the water unto the naked rug rat is more then enough to capture my attention
