For a while now I've been working on getting a decent shot of these moss spores. Yesterday I spotted this little group in a tiny shaft of sunlight and so plunked the camera down to get it while it lasted. It wasn't long, let me tell you, but I think this exercise will help me get an even better shot in future. I do like this one though. I think that's a stone fly on the stalk there, just a few mm across. To get this perspective the camera sat directly on a flattish rock and I used a twig to shim the lens up just a fraction. Funny what you have to do in the field.
