    Not really sure this would be considered macro but rather more of a closeup. The white balance seems to be off and the highlights overexposed. I think maybe a tighter crop would work better in this case.

    I'll try a tighter crop to see how is turns out. As to the white balance, it was daylight film in daylight and no warming filter so should be pretty close, matches the actual colors.

    looking at it on my home monitor now and your right the white balance is fine. I guess i shouldn't make judgment calls from my computer in the office.

    I feel...sad seeing this. If that was what you were attempting to convey... then success. It's a harder art when you go from the cheery to the no so cheery. I would darken the photo a bit to enhance the deadened effect. Highlights are a bit hot for this photo in my humble opinion. It really depends on what you are trying to communicate though.
