Any monopods longer than 6'3"

Seems 6'3" is about the max for monopods. I'm 6'9" and in situations I need something a bit longer but haven't seen anything yet.... There is a 5 section gitzo, which is at the 73" mark as well but that's about as high as I see..

Seems we've been down this discussion road before... I'm 6'5" and have the Giottos 9780 monopod (69.7") with the Manfrotto MA-234 swivel head (2.4"), a Kirk QR plate (~0.5"), plus the L-bracket and height of my D300, and I find that at full extension, the monopod is just a tad too tall for me, especially if I want to aim the camera down at all. Clearly if you've found a Gitzo that's 73", then the Giottos 8680 (72") won't do it for you, but maybe if you added the swivel head or something like that, you'd get the VF high enough for your eye without having to stoop over too much. If you don't want the camera on a swivel head, then of course you lose that height, but maybe adding that would get you to where you want to be...

Yeah, was down this road when I was tripod hunting last fall. I guess the Gitzo it is, to match my tripod.
