On Sunday we held the annual Village Fete, a fund raiser to pay for a new roof on the church, whose origins date back to about 1230.

The day was lousy overcast and rain, but two people offwered to go into the stocks and have buckets of water thrown at them. The buckets were auctioned for between £15 ($25) and £50 ($80)

The unlucky couple The Landlady of the pub and her husband, (Pat and Mick)
