Gallery Download Pricing - what is this?

I enabled Gallery Download, set a price and tested it. Only one photo was inlcuded in the cart for download.

Is this supposed to allow a customer to download all the photos in a gallery at a set price using one click? If not, how does it work?

Thanks
Phil

Sure, in each one of three galleries I have invoked this feature.

Phil, unrelated tangent I just noticed while checking into this....

If you want to sell downloads, you might want to limit the display to less than originals (which are never watermarked). As your gallery is setup right now, folks can download the original image for free.

Ok, so two things going on here... first, to buy a *gallery* download you have to pick "All digital downloads" from the buy menu, not "this photo". Second, if you're logged in, that option isn't shown at all, since you can't buy your own digitial downloads. (Similar to how all the items on the downloads tab are disabled in the iCart if you select "this photo" from the buy menu.)

I'm going to log a bug to show it, but disable it, so that owners will know it's there for their customers.

Yes, I know about picking "all digital downloads" but I mistakenly did not state that in my posting. Thanks for noting it though and i realize that it is not shown when logged it.

    Thank you,

Not sure I understand because all photos in the gallery I provided a link to has a watermark "life", albeit a small one in the lower left hand corner .

The gallery is set up as "protected" with a watermark and individual downloads have a price and gallery download has a separate price. Am I misunderstanding something?

Right click protection doesn't protect your photos, it is merely a stumbling block on the way to grabbing the original of your image. And the watermark is only on display copies, not on the original.

See ORIGINALS = a gateway to free photos, & right click protection is NOT PROTECTION.
